He/She is responsible for designing the layout, usability, and visual appearance of a website.

They work to make the website visually appealing and engaging as well as ensure it is responsive for various devices. They deal with color palettes and matching fonts to make sure the website appears consistent.

there are different types of web designers, each has a unique job.

1- User Experience (UX)

They make sure visitors are continuously engaged in the site content to achieve the end goal of delivering the required (product/service) and also to provide a positive experience for the user.

2- User Interface (UI)

They also prioritize user interaction with the website. their specific role is to enhance and optimize the website usability.

3- Visual Designer

They work with visual elements in mind such as color schemes, font sizes, and Typography. Their main aim is to ensure that the website is easy to use and looks pleasing.

Web Designers have a required skillset:

  • HTML and CSS knowledge
  • CMS (content management system) & website builder platforms
  • Design and editing software like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe xd
  • Wireframing and mockup applications like Figma or Sketch

Web designers typically also work with post-delivery services such as maintenance and regular updates and performance checks.

He/She mainly deals with the technical aspect, using coding languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Python.

To start as a web developer you need to have a decent level of knowledge in some programming languages as they are the backbone of web developers as they deal with the website framework and structure layout of the website.

They take the ideas of web designers and convert them into coding which translates into a real, live, working website.

They also deal with the configuration of the server and database as well as testing and debugging of issues appearing after launching.

They also have three designation titles that explain their different work criteria

1- Front-end web developer

They are the ones using actual coding languages as well as CMS such as WordPress, etc… (which I briefly talked about in this article.

2- Back-end web developer

They do Code the database and servers using advanced programming languages such as PHP, C#, Java, SQL, Ruby, and more.

3- Full-stack web developer

They work as both front-end and back-end web developers. In a nutshell, they are the real experts in the business.

Web developers need slightly different specs than web designers. web designers need a more advanced graphic card than web developers, while web developers require more RAM and Storage because they often deal with testing the sites and debugging.
